Conquering the Bok Tower 5k
Ken, Sharon, and Norman at the Bok Tower 5k
On April 6th, the serene Bok Tower Gardens, renowned for its beauty, hosted a vibrant 5k run that drew in participants from all over. Amongst the sea of eager runners, our dedicated volunteers, Ken, Sharon, and Norman, who typically devote their time to aiding in meal preparations for our homebound friends across Polk County, enthusiastically took part in the invigorating event. It was through their commitment to helping the homebound that brought them together and motivated them to conquered the challenging 5k course nestled within the picturesque surroundings of Bok Tower.
Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on our community while connecting with like-minded individuals who share a passion for helping others. Engaging with these compassionate individuals can also inspire you to achieve feats you might have considered beyond your reach.
